The Debt-Free Graduate: How to Survive College Without Going Broke

This is our personal favorite. It is extremely well written and contains many creative tips for cost savings. While this book is specifically written for college students, it could actually be helpful to just about anyone who is experiencing financial difficulties. In summary, we believe everyone can find at least a few tips in this book that they would be comfortable implementing to lower their costs.

The A's and B's of Academic Scholarships

Good information on scholarships is provided and the contents certainly go beyond what can be provided on a website.

The Best Way to Save for College: A Complete Guide to 529 Plans

The Best Way to Save for College: A Complete Guide to 529 Plans Click here to buy this book from Amazon.com

We highly recommend this book. It is the most comprehensive 529 guide we have come across. For this reason, this book will be most useful to those parents whose children are many years removed from college. Every state with a 529 plan -- as of the book's publication date anyway -- is covered in detail!

A Parent's and Student Athlete's Guide to Athletic Scholarships: Getting Money Without Being Taken for a (Full) Ride

Guide to Athletic Scholarships Click here to buy this book from Amazon.com

This book contains a lot of good insight to become one of the successful high school athlete recruits. It will certainly give you an advantage over a similarly qualified high school athlete. Written by a former college coach and recruiter, this guide will also give you a good picture of what demands and responsibilities you will face in college. Perhaps best of all, a comprehensive list of colleges and the athletic scholarships they offer are included.

Paying for College Without Going Broke 2002

This is an extremely popular book that gets many rave reviews from surfers to this website. Comprehensive information on the financial aid forms, negotiating tactics for the financial aid offices (this is worth a try but certainly not something to pin too many hopes on), tax breaks, and unusual circumstances such as single parents and adult students are addressed as well.
